Day 8 Freedom Blog Challenge – My Amazing Adventure

Leah Mustoe Challenges

Day 8 was about going out & having an adventure (anything we wanted) & then coming back & writing about it.

Now, I don't read the blog post challenges until the evening, so for me, the day has gone & I didn't have an adventure today.

Not unless you think taking your little boy to school (I still can't get used to saying that as he's just started), walking to the shops & doing a load of housework when I got back an adventure lol!

So I've decided to write about a day last week (Sunday to be exact) where I had a wonderful relaxing adventure.

On this day, I got to do something very rare - & that is to take a whole day for myself...

My Adventure...

I got to spend the entire day (yep - from 8am - 7pm) with my best friend at an amazing spa!

It was heavenly...

We got to do an amazing Yoga class.

The style of Yoga was called "Kundalini" & it's a mix of Yoga & Meditation.

I was so relaxed, I almost fell asleep & the instructor was so nice.

It's definitely made me want to find a Yoga instructor locally & start up classes as I felt wonderful after.

We also did a hula hooping class - yes you heard that right, hula hooping!

The last time I touched a hula hoop was when I was a kid.

I loved it then & I loved it now!

Here's a photo just to prove I did it (this is post hula hoop workout, so I'm a mess lol, but have a big smile on my face.)

Other than those two activities (a calming one & a mental one), we did the usual spa day stuff!

Swimming, Sauna & Steam room...

And to finish it all off, we had facials, which were AMAZING!

The last time I had a facial was years ago & I don't remember them being so claustrophobic haha

But even though my whole face, apart from my nose, was covered in cloth & a face mask, it was still an incredible experience!

My skin felt glowing afterwards too...

In amongst it all, we had an amazing breakfast of muffins & smoked salmon & a roast dinner for lunch, with a starter of olives, quinoa, mint beans & other healthy bits & bobs...

Finishing off with a gorgeous fruit salad.

Although I didn't want the day to end, as we were having such a relaxing time.

(My best friends a mum too & the fact we got to read a book by the pool without interruption, was something neither of us are used to.)

It was amazing to get home to my boys - all three of them!

This was a really nice blog post to write in Natalie's 10 Day Freedom Plan Blog Challenge

Getting to share a rare day off with you was awesome...

Until the next one (only 2 more challenges to go)!

Take care

Leah 🙂

I always say to people I have the two best jobs in the world. Being a stay at home mum to my two young boys alongside working as an Internet Marketer. I have a huge passion for all things related to list building, audience building & email marketing, so you'll find a lot of content on my blog around these topics!
